A$AP MOB features one of the most stylish and best dressed men in the current music/fashion industry - A$AP Rocky. So it's no surprise that their website would follow their conventions as a group of bright colours, random imagery all put together to create a masterpiece! It could seem quite overwhelming for a website though as you aren't sure where to look.
Below are screenshots of each page of the website. Between each page of this website there is very little differences in design as they all keep the same background image, titles and lay out, which is positive as it is simple and easy to use, however audiences may not remember this website as it is not very interactive. The Menu has 8 sub categories: Home, Music, News, Media, Tour, Join, Lyrics and Store. The store page is probably the most interactive as it takes you to their completely new site with a range of options of stylish clothes. There are other fashion brands such as VLone which are also available from a drop down menu as they are endorsed by the A$AP MOB.
TRAVIS SCOTT
Scott's website features his well-known animal - an eagle. He uses this animal often in his live performances by performing on top of a huge eagle, and by using the noise of the eagle's screech in-between songs. Also in his most recent album he is actually got wings on again portraying this dominant animal.
The Home page features Scott's Eagle which slowly rotates around and allows you to click and drag the end to see all the details. The Eagle is gold with a red sparkling eye which could be to represent Scott's extensive amounts of high end jewelry. This is a great choice for a Home page as the interactive part means that people are more likely to remember this over a standard picture.
The next page promotes his latest album 'Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight' where on clicking this it takes you straight to iTunes where you can purchase the album. This is a great technique to help the artist gain sales as it's so quick and simple. And it avoids a daunting 'Buy Here' button.
The following page is Scott's 'Tour' page. Travis is known for his insanely active live performances and always manages to get the loudest crowds at festivals as even if he isn't necessarily your favourite artist you know you'll have a good time. The simplicity of this page is what interested me the most about this page as clicking the buy option either takes you straight to the festival website or Ticketmaster. I will definitely be trying to incorporate the simplicity of Scott's website in my own as it is effective.
This page shows his hit 'Butterfly Effect' music video. On clicking the 'Video' button the video plays straight so you can just sit back and enjoy. The website is very smooth and minimizes the amount his fans have to do to reach his products.
The final page is Scott's merchandise shop which unfortunately is not yet open, however there is an option to enter your email address so his fans can keep updated and be the first to get his clothes.
DRAKE
Drake's website has a very clean and simple layout and colour scheme. As Drake is now almost seen as a veteran in the rap genre this layout could be to show his class and style over the younger generation of so called 'Soundcloud rappers' who would probably use bold bright colours and crazy looking images.
His website is also the only one I have looked at that had a 'Biography' section. This is so his fans can relate to him even more or just to find out facts they may not know.
Here we can see a list of all Drake's albums including his most recent 'More Life'. Once clicked on it takes you to the iTunes page of the album where you can listen to snippets of each song and/or purchase the album. This is a great way of promoting sales.
The next page shows his most recent shot music videos, again to promote both obviously his music but also his clothing OVO (October's Very Own) which there is also a seperate link to.
The final part of Drake's website is a list of his most recent tour dates. This is an easy way for his fans to purchase tickets as due to his fame they will usually sell out within minutes, or in this tours case for London's O2 - within seconds.
